Mrs. Carrie Willetts
** BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT ** ​​Carrie Willetts joined WellSpan Health in January 2016 as Senior Vice President, WellSpan Health and President, WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.  At WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, Ms. Willetts is responsible for the day-to-day operating activities and oversees performance improvement and patient experience initiatives.  She also serves as executive leader for WellSpan’s system of care in Lancaster County.
 
Prior to joining WellSpan, Ms. Willetts held leadership positions with Sentara Health Care in Virginia including Vice President, Operations; Director of Orthopedics, Spine and Sports Medicine and Rehab Services; and Director of Market Development.  Mrs. Willetts was awarded the Sentara CEO Award for performance improvement in 2015.  Prior to joining Sentara, Ms. Willetts held various positions with the University of Virginia Health System.  She received a master’s degree in Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University where she was also an A.D. Williams Scholar.  Mrs. Willetts has consulted several non-profits in strategic planning and enjoys mentoring young professionals. She recently joined the Board of Directors of Hospice and Community Care.  She and her husband, George, reside in Ephrata with their two children.  The Willetts family enjoys many outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding, and cycling.

Gil Sager has been a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Ephrata for over 20 years. Prior to Edward Jones, Gil was employed by three banks in the New York City - New Jersey area. He holds a B.A. in History from George Mason College and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition to his time with the Ephrata Area Education Foundation, he serves on the boards of Hospice and Community Care, Ephrata Borough Authority, and the Ephrata Community Health Foundation.
Aaron L. Groff, Jr. is Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Ephrata National Bank, an independent community bank with over $905 million in assets and 10 full-service locations throughout Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.  He joined the bank in 1967.  Passionate about serving the communities in which he works and lives, Groff is a member of the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations, including WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, WellSpan Philhaven Behavioral Health, the Church Investment Loan Fund of the Mennonite Church and the Guy K. Bard Educational Scholarship Fund.  In addition he is a member of the WellSpan Health System’s Audit and Planning Committees.  He has served as an instructor for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Institute of Banking and recently completed two consecutive terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank.  Groff is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking, the New Jersey Banker’s Association Data Processing School and the IBM Data Processing School. In his spare time, he plays floor hockey, enjoys bicycling and maintains a Commercial Driver’s License, driving a chartered motor coach on occasion.

Connie Kirby has served on the Ephrata Area Education Foundation Board since 2012. Kirby currently is the Program/Allocation Committee chair overseeing the Venture Grant Program. She also serves on the Fundraising Committee and on the Purple & Gold Gala Planning Committee. Kirby is an EHS alum, class of 1971 and a former Ephrata Middle School 7th grade science teacher, inspiring students from 1974-2009. Kirby earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and her Master’s degree in Gifted Education from Millersville University. She also served as an instructor and assistant director for the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Teaching. ​

​Mark Thompson is the Deposit Operations Manager at Ephrata National Bank where he has worked since 2013.  He has been with the bank ever since he graduated from college in 2009.  He recently was appointed as Vice President of the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Thompson is a graduate of Ephrata High School and he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration / Finance from Shippensburg University.  He graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in June 2016. Currently he is pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration with a focus in Financial Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management and is expected to graduate in the summer of 2020.
